Self-Employment
Individuals with HIV/AIDS often need resources to assist them in using their skills and abilities to create a business. From considering a business idea, to business planning, to business launch, PRC supports clients to ensure they have access to all the services that support self-employment in San Francisco
Through PRC’s collaborative partner Small Business Administration, San Francisco and San Mateo residents participating in the Employment Services program are eligible to receive waived fees for business planning courses.
Self-employment seminars hosted by Positive Resource Center include:
- Considering Self-Employment
- Entrepreneurs’ Roundtables featuring panels of entrepreneurs living with HIV
- HIV+ Entrepreneurs, a day-long event presented in collaboration with the Small Business Administration, covering licensing, marketing, financing, bookkeeping, and other start-up topics
Clients consult with their Service Coordinator before enrolling in these workshops. See our workshop calendar for complete program schedules.
