Provider TrainingPRC's benefits team consults with and trains providers and consumers around the nation to remain as culturally competent, as thoroughly informed, and as up to date as possible on the complex issues that affect all public and private benefits. PRC's benefits advocates host a training specifically designed for providers throughout California, which seeks to enhance the skills of benefits counselors, health care providers, attorneys, case managers and other advocates to better serve the needs of our very diverse communities of people at risk for or living with HIV/AIDS. Provider Trainings are two-day, intensive workshops focusing on Benefits and the Fundamentals, Winning a Disability Claim, Working with Active Drug Users, Public Benefits and Immigration, Public Benefits and Incarceration, and Working While Disabled issues.
