Considering Work

Many individuals who come to Positive Resource’s Center Employment Services Program are considering their work options. Clients have access to a full-time Vocational Counselor to assist them in discovering and researching their vocational goals.

We also offer a series of workshops for individuals considering work:

Vocational Counseling Workshops

These vocational counseling workshops offer individuals the opportunity to participate in group career counseling support while they consider individual career goals:

  • Researching and Selecting a Vocational Plan (RSVP) six-week series
  • Informational Interviewing workshop
  • Vocational Counseling drop-in sessions

Preparation for Employment

This group workshop series provides clients with detailed information on dealing with gaps in work history, creating resumes and cover letters, and developing interviewing skills.

The Impact of Earned Income on Disability Income and Health Insurance

Learn how working might affect your disability income and medical benefits.
